- The "Big Wind" occurred in the year 1839. It blew down thatched houses and telephone poles, and uprooted trees, and other things. A snowstorm also occurred in the year 1921.
It blew down telephone poles, and also broke the wires which were connecting them, and blocked the roads. This happened across a bridge in Malahide. The snow was two feet high on the road. There was a man named Morris McDermot who lived beside(continues on next page)- Collector
