  1. A Local Song

When Paddy Doyle lived near Killarney,

    A Local Song
When Paddy Doyle lived near Killarney,
He courted a maid called Betty Toole,
Her tongue I own was tipped with Blarney,
Which seemed to Pat as a golden rule.
One heavenly night in last November,
The moon shone gently from above,
The night it was I can't remember
Paddy went to meet his love.
Some liquor he had taken that night,
Which made his spirits light and gay,
Says he what need I go so quick,
Shure I know I'll meet her on the way.
