  2. Many years ago two fishermen from Baldoyle were fishing along the coast of Lambay. After some time they were very much surprized when they hauled in a their nets for there lay a mermaid. The mermaid began to shed tears and the men did not know what to do as it was their first acquaintances with a mermaid and there was an old saying that one would never reach land safely after allowing a
