    Marriages at the present time.
    People usually get married in Feeragh at the present between the 6th January and Ash Wednesday. The lucky days of the week are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the unlucky days are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
    There is an old saying that if a man asked a girl from Feeragh to get married on Shrove Tuesday that she would not promise him.
