“In olden times an old smith resided in Dunmore”
In olden times an old blacksmith resided in Dunmore. One night he heard the bellows blowing in his forge but when he went there, there was nothing to be seen. This continued for several nights and at length the blacksmith became greatly alarmed. He now feared it was a ghost and one day knelt in the forge and prayed that if it were a good spirit it would come under the roof of the house but that it it was a bad one it would remain out.Shortly after this a person was heard walking across the floor of the kitchen but the whole family stared in awe as the person was invisible.
