  1. In the olden times on St. Brigid's day the people made a cross of wood and plaited it with straw and hung it on the rafters until her feast was over. On St. Martin's night the people always lit a fire in honour of the fire he lit.
    On Palm Sunday the people wear palms in remembrance of Our Lord going in to Jerusalem. There was a well in honour of St. Brendan in Barrick Street and at a certain hour every day three fishes were seen. The
