  1. There is a house in Moyard where the tennis club meets, it was once a school. There were forty boys taught in it. They were Protestants and jumpers. There was a school also in Rockfield where Mrs Barret lives. Such a school was called a bird's nest. There is an old school near the road between Cleggan and Ballinakill. Jumpers used to go to that school. That was where the jumpers got soup and porridge and clothes. There was a national school about three hundred yards away from this school.
