    One cold and stormy winters night as I was coming from rambling it was about 12 o clock so when I came to the end of the house I met the donkey and he was very cold and perished looking there.

    the house to me. I went down to see what frightened him and there was a big sod of turf swimming with water (very wet) after being thrown at the inside of the door, at the asse's head. It was a sod after being brought in from the Glasha. Whoever did it I don't know. I threw the sod behind the fire tied the ass again and went to bed.
