    as it was made long ago. There was a certain kind of bread made long ago that is not made now. It was called boxty, Boxty was made from potatoes and flour. The potatoes were washed and peeled. They were mashed up with a grater. The mashed potatoes were put into a basin and put by a fire to dry. They were mixed with flour, salt, and soda. The cake was left on a gridiron and baked.
