   when he had paid for the horse, the man who sold the horse shouted. "I have the money now and you have the wrong horse." "I have a cure" said Kenny. "Hand me back the money under the horse's legs and then you will see that everything will be right." The foolish man handed Kenny the money. Then Kenny shouted, "Now you have your wrong horse and I have my right money."

   On the first of April 1917 Father Griffin (who was afterwards murdered by the Black-and-Tans) sent John O'Dea of Gurteen, Woodlawn, Country Galway with a telegram to Dick Forde of Cloonkeen Kerrill, Colemanstown, Ballinsasloe, Country Galway. Dick Forde opened the telegram and red the contents. "It is all a joke John," said he. John came home and got a stick to beat the priest and Father Griffin had to run to escape.
