  1. Once upon a time there lived a poor widow and a daughter. This old woman was very good to three fairies who visited her house occasionally. This old woman had a beautiful girl but by mistake she was very lazy. Although the daughter was lazy the mother liked her very well. One day the mother sent her to the well and told her not to delay but instead of hurrying home she met with another girl and started picking flowers. When she taught she had herself satisfied picking flowers she returned home. The mother was used of her delaying but this day she became angry as she told her not to delay. So the mother got a good rod and beat the girl until she left her screaming. At
