    Bíodh a lán meas ag na sean daoine ar Domhnach Cásga mar is an lá san a ais eirig Críost. Téigeadh na daoine go léir ag glacadh Comaoine Naomhta an lá seo. Deireann an sean fhocal "Domhnach Cásga is mór an náire bheith gan feóil" Bíodh laoigh fheóil aca i gcóir dínnéir.
    Cuiridís síos corcán mór lán d'uibheaca an lá seo agus bíodh féasta mór aca. Itheadh siad na h-uibhe le sliogán mar ná bheadh spúineóga aca. Bíodh éadaighe nuadh aca i gcomhnuidhe Domhnach Cásga mar a deireann an sean-fhocal "Bíadh agus deoch do'n Nodhlag agus éadach nuadh do'n Cásg"
