    The local Fairs are Monaghan, Ballybay, Cootehill, Cacan, Clones, Keady, Newtonhamilton, Carrickmacross, Dundalk, Newry, Portadown, Armagh, Ballymote, Mayo, Cork.
    The fairs are always held in towns.
    The cattle buyers come out to the crossroads and to the farmers houses on a fair morning.
    Yes it is still done.
    The town fair is held in a special place.
    When an animal is sold there is always luck money given.
    The animal when sold is marked with a chalk.
    When an animal is sold the rope is nearly always given.
    The halter is always given with a horse.
