  1. Severe Weather.
    There is a house in Annevill, (near Longwood) belonging to Mr R. Dixon and in 1839 the roof was blown down. There were a lot of stacks of oats in the haggard and the wind made the rats fly out of the oats and blew them against the walls and killed them.
