  1. To bury a sheaf of wheat and say some prayers. This is done to cause a persons death. While the wheat is rotting in the ground, the person will pine away. To spit on money when you are giving it to anyone gives them luck.
    To spill water while you are filling any vessel, is a sign you will get a drunken husband.
    If anyone comes to the house while a churning is being done without putting a hand to the churn before leaving, they are supposed to take the profit.
    A cock crowing on the barn-door is a sign of news.
    If your left ear is hot someone is talking badly about you, if its in the day, but left or right is good by night.
    If your right hand is itchy you will be getting a shake hands.
    If a hare crosses the road in your path, you should spit out, or you will have no luck.
    A child should set eggs for hatching to have a full clutch.
    Three lights should not be in the same room, it is a sign of death, or a winding sheet on a candle is also a sign. This is grease which hardens in a curse.
