  1. There is a light seen at the townland of Skerries (Athy) Co Kildare about eleven oclock every night. It is a ball of fire. It appears on the main road bettween Athy and Kildare about four miles from Athy. It comes out of the ditch and moves slowly towards Athy for a distance of about twenty yards and then turns into the new plantation and disappears. My uncle James Berry met it coming towards him but it quickly disappeared. I saw this fall myself. My brothers John and Laurence saw the ball of fire too.
