    Denny Ruads grandchildren, Patrick & Richard Kerwick carry on the business in this house at Glengoole to the present day.
    Bill (gearr) St John lived in Ballinastick in the house now occupied by Mrs Ellen Maher.
    Kitty (Crocky) St John lives in Ballinastick to-day.
    On festive occasions her late father Edmond St John contributed a dance item to the programme. His favourite tune was the "Crock of Butter" hence the name.
    In Ballinastick also lived ned "a clay" St John This family came to settle in the district from Kyleatlea.
    In Clashduff lived a very strong man named John Ryan nicknamed Shawn avee-arra Locally this was understood as "John of the large fingers". His nephew William Ryan lives presently at Kelliheen.
    The Hickey family had nicknames Sean Ruadh Martin (Cloosh) and Paddy the Castle
    Maher family "leithead" "The Blackbird"
