- The letter post, like the press, the telegraph, the telephone and radio maintains a bond between separated himself and friends. Reaching to the uttermost limits of the earth it keeps those who live in the most distant regions in touch with those who remain at home.
The post makes use of every means of transport, aeroplanes, ships, railways and sledges to letters to explorers in the Arctic and Antarctic to the inhabitants of Africa and to dwellers in the lonely isles of the ocean.
