  2. There are three forges in the parish. The names of the blacksmiths are :- Patrick Boyle, Michael Mullen, and John McDonnell. Their forefathers were blacksmiths. The forges are built beside the roads. The forges are thatched. The shape of the door in the fore of Michael Mullen is square. The blacksmiths make ploughs, gates and tongs. The pikes that were used in battle long were all made in forges. The
