  1. Landlords.
    The Local Landlords were Mr Kiely of Ballysaggart-more and Mr Drew of Mocollop.
    The families have been settled there for two hunder years. Nearly all the landlords were very bad in Ireland, in the olden times and dealt very severely with their tenants, even for slight offences.
    Some of the tenants were evicted from their farms but the neighbours took them in until they settled about their rents.
    Farmers who owned nice farms by the Balckwater were evicted and sent out
