   There were very nice little houses long ago. There were one storey houses with thatch roofs, with kitchen and two or three bedrooms. The well off people had two storey houses, with a
   kitchen and three or four bed rooms with nice windows; they had a sitting room also. Some houses had no rooms, only a kitchen and a wooden bed with a rope bottom in it. Instead of
