  2. An old beggar woman who used to stop in Paddy Bonner's a man who lived in a wee house in Ballylawn, Castlecary, used to tell several stories at night. One night she told that when she was a little girl a woman from the country stopped at her house and she had a little girl with her. One day the two women went to the fair, and the little girls, when they got the house to themselves they said they would make a good feast. They boiled eggs, and made tea and had all the things on the table except milk, and the little girl said she would get the milk. She leaped up on the table and she took down a wooden cow and started milking her until they got as much as done them. That evening all the cows started to run their milk, the old woman disappeared and the cows stopped running their milk.
