    Back homewards for to go
    Young Johnnie took the helm, and
    The other three did row.
    There was Owen and Terrence Carrigan
    and Myley Beg made four.

    females half a score.

    Just as they were sailing young Johnnie gave command.
    "Row on my hearty fellows the wind is getting strong
    If we gain shelter of the shore,
    We'll sail to the new quay,
    It is there we'll land the women and we'll anchor until day"

    When death made its appearance and darkness closed the sky,
    The people round the neighborhood
    all heard eh deadly cries
    With torches they attended
    to give them some relief,
    But the boat upset and they were left
    all tumbling in the deep.
