  1. Drumkeerin, sweet Drumkeerin in dreams of times I see,
Your greed clad hills and fairy like dells your woods so fair and free.
Though an exile far from my native land, and the spot that gave me birth
There's ne'er a day that I don't pray for that sweetest place on earth.
Drumkeerin, sweet Drumkeerin close by Lake Allens shore
Your water fall and Pollin Ass perhaps I'll see no more
And no goldfinch and thrush, that I liked so much with their song so grand and clear
And memories now of a by gone day no longers in my ear
Home of my youth, I can say in truth your people were kind and fair
To a mother who strove with all her love her family right to rear
With a heavy heart she carried her cross but she flouted the word "despair".
"Our Saviour suffered more," she said thought an awful cross to bear.
