Some of the "party boys" came into the wake and put a pipe in her mouth and then one of them got in under the bed and cut the rope and up she jumps and pipe flew out of her mouth. Another game that used to be played at wakes long ago was "box the tailor. Two fellows would sit on a long stool with their legs crossed like a tailor and they facing each other and about a yard apart. Then they would get a pillow each and try and knock each other off the stool. They used to play the "teetotum" long ago. This article is something like a top with seven or eight edges on it. There was numbers in it all around and writing as "pay up" or "take all"(continues on next page)
