    the robin ran through the water & turned it into blood. She got up & went on till she came to a gate & the gate said to her "Swing me open. I have not been open this forty years". "Go to hell" says she & went on till she came to a cow & the cow said to her "milk me. I have not been milked this 30 yrs". but says she to the cow "go to hell & she went on till she came to a mill
    NB The above is opening of a story of Stanley's which was retold to me from him. I have not had the opportunity of recording it verbatin yet. PO'T
    Stanley heard stories from his father who came from Kildare.
