  1. Haunted House by same.
    One night a man was going along the road looking for lodgings about 11 o'c when he met another man who owned two big mansions. This man told the traveller that he could stay in one big house of his that on one was living in so he brought him home to his own house first & gave him some supper & then showed him the mansion where he was to stay for the night. He went to bed but about 12 o'c he heard a terrible noise at the door & all of a sudden the door was barged open & in stepped a crowd of good people. The man let on to be asleep but they came to the bed & wakened him & took him upstairs & low & behold there was a table
