    Rheumatism -
    (1) Take one drop of turpentine in water & increase dose by one drop on each of nine mornings & in the meantime apply turpentine on red flannel to the affected parts.
    (2) apply a green cabbage leaf
    (3) Plaster of pitch
    Wound -
    (1) Cover with skin of egg
    (2) Cover with cobweb
    Cuts or Sores - Dogs lick
    Measles or Yellow Jaundice - Boil sheep dung in milk & drink milk when strained off.
    Whooping Cough -
    (1) Ass is brought in on floor & patient passed 3 times under & over it in home (in home of father, son etc)
    (2) Ass eats loaf and patient eats crumbs that drop from its mouth
    (3) Ass eats hot stirabout & patient eats asses resulting excrement.
    (N.B. Mrs Keenan of Kyle told me that she herself saw this being done when a youngster).
