- There was a spy & informer living at Aghode in '98. The boys came to execute him one night. They entered the house and called him out. He was nursing a child of about 2 years old and in spite of all protests hewould not leave the child behind him. No matter what they would do he wouldn't part with the child. Finally the leader, losing all patience, raised his scythe and swept the head off the spy. Didn't the blade take the heel off the child, God bless the mark. When he grew he was lame and like young Moody he had to leave the country. Everyone knew why and how he had lost his heel.
