- Carraignagat between Colbooney and Ballisodare is a place and it got its name from the member of wild cats that used to meet on a rock near the place. This was a very wooded country and is still wooded. Carrignagal is still famous for its animal Horse fair.In the Penal Days a priest was saying Mass on this rock. A congregation as present. An the middle of the Mass the soldiers were seen approaching. The priest was told but he told the people to continue as if nothing was approaching.
