    he had spent his life herding and that was all he was good for. The man said "You are the man I want. I will employ you as I want a herd." He told him that his land bordered the land of three giants and if any of his cattle strayed into the lands of the giants he kept them in payment for the trespass. The principal thing he was to see was that none of his cattle strayed into the giants lands.
    The boy agreed that he would watch his cattle and pigs carefully and do his best to keep them from the giants' lands.
    Next morning the boy set off with the herd of cattle and swine. About mid-day he and the cattle and swine came to the wall that separated his masters lands from the lands of the giants. On his side of the wall the land was bare. He looked over the wall and saw that there was plenty of rich sweet grass on the other side as
