    There was a man lived near Carrigbyrnne by the name of Tom Gleeson

    would be killed, but the little fellow would only laugh at her. One day she was looking for him high and low, but he couldn't be found in any place, although the poor woman was searching for him for surely threeor four hours. She happened to go to the pump for a bucket of water, the pump was about fifty yards deep, and she had a chain and a bucket always at the edge of the pump to bring up the water. She saw one end of the chain tied firmly to a stone at the top of the pump and the other end of the chain and the bucket were down in the pump. She though [?] the bucket had slipped down, so she pulled it up, and when the bucket was near the top of the pump she heard great laughing and when
