There was a farmer one time lived in the parish of Glynn, by the name of Joe Brady. One night there was an awful storm, and the wind blew down some part of one of his houses. Some of the rafters and part of the roof were blown off. There was a carpenter living in Glynn at the same time by the name of Micky Murphy and Joe Brady asked him would he come down to his place some day and fix up the roof for him. Mickey said he would be down on a certain day but when the "certain day" came Micky didn't come, so Joe went to him again. He told Joe he couldn't possibly go the day he had appointed, but he would go down to him some day next week for(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
