  1. There were a couple of fellas went out wan night for to get a couple of hares as they wanted to run a dog or two. Some argument arose between them it seems as to which of them had the best dog and they said that the best way that they could find that out was to go and get a hare and give them a run. So the two of them started off and it was about ten oclock or so in the night time and they travelled on a hell of a journey and they could get no hare at all. At last wan got up and begor the two dogs took after it as hard as ever they could and begor the two men went after them as hard as they were able and the hare gave them a hell of a run entirely and
