  1. A boy gets a piece of a stick about three feet long and a half an inch thick. Then he puts a split on the end of the stick with a pen-knife. Then the boy tied a piece of line to the bottom of the stick he twisted the line until he came to the split. Then he put the line in the split leaving about three inches of the line hanging loosely.
