There was an other school in the village of Castlereagh situated about a mile west of Irishtown also. The name of the teacher is uncertain. - III
There was a hedge school near Cloonraine on the spuchain road and a man by the name of Thomas Gibbons taught in the school. At night time this school used be opened and people from the village sued to in and sit on a sod of turf around the hearth.
Each person used have a slate and burned cipin to a write on.
