    It was the custom long ago to bring the corpse out the back door. The people would wrap the body in a few white sheets and would bring it to the grave-yard in a cart. When they would be laying out the corpse they would put the head to the west. After the person dying the four corners of the bed would be sprinkled with holy water.
    The old people say the reason the clothes are washed after the person
