    When they sow in drills they use a plough. If there is a of rain the men sprinkle the potatoes during the summer months. In about the middle of September the men dig the potatoes and the women and children pick them. They pick them into buckets and they make a pit and throw them into it. They usually sow "Champions", "Queens", "Kerr Pinks", "Aran Banners" and "Great Scots" in this district.
