When the butter is made some of it comes over the lid.
Water is poured in when the churning begins. When the butter is made my mother takes it out and puts it into a dish and poures water on the butter to take the butter-milk out of it. Then it is salted and made into a roll. There are no local sayings or proverbs connected with churning. The butter-milk is used for making bread and feeding pigs.- Collector
