    churn and the dash churn. People know when the butter is made in the dash churn by taking off the lid of the churn and turning the churn dash about in the churn and if the butter comes to a lump in the middle it tis made.
    When you are starting a churning it is right to put a small coal under the churn, and shake a pinch of salt on the lid.
