    person saying "Good reason why". The third man heard a crowd saying "Three Achill men". Then they were satisfied because they had some English. About a week afterwards they were walking together on a road and they saw a man dead on the road side and they stood looking at him and a guard came in the meantime and asked them who killed the man and one of them said "Three Achill men". "Why did they kill him" "Good reason why" was the reply and "For what reason" the guard asked them "A box of matches" they replied. The three Achill men were brought into court and were condemned for murdering the man and were sent to jail for two years. When they came out from prison they went home and said they would never learn English because it is a cruel language.
