    Other Customs
    1. If you go into a house and the people to be churning you are supposed to say “God Bless or Good luck to the work and then take the dash.
    2. When the people throw out water at night time they say “Chugaibh! Chugaibh! Uisce salach!” The old people say it is right to say it for fear any poor soul would get a dash of the water.
    3. If a visitor called to a house when a meal was being taken he was supposed to say “God bless the work” or “Sit ye merry”. To this came the answer from the head of the house “You too”. The visitor was then asked to share in the meal.
