- About half-a-mile from this school is a district known as Kilturra, where long ago stood a large monastery. This belonged to monks known as the "Grey Friars", who had another monastery where the old graveyard of Doocastle now is.
The party of monks in Doocastle had a servant girl working for them. She was a very good-looking girl, and a man quite near the place asked her in marriage but she would not consent. He then asked the monks for her but they would not give her.(continues on next page)- Collector
