There was very big floods in 1908. It did a lot of damage on the people. It swept away a great deal off the hay and it drowned a lot of pigs in stables and it dug up bridges. It was on the 4th of August. The floods went down the same evening. In 1920 we had four months of drought. - The oldest schools in Kilmovee were in Shraheens where Mr O Grady is teaching now.
