- Long ago there used to be two or three spinners in every house. There is a spinner in Kiltomaine. Her name is Mary McCann. She used, spins wool and stockings.
There is a weaver in Clooncara. His name is Paddy Caulfield. He can weave blankets, sheets, and bags. He does not weave now. When he was weaving he used to have a loom and he used to stand on it and spin. He used to weave things like a spider. It was a girl that started weaving first.
