- Long ago when the people were selling any-thing they used to exchange goods. When they went buying any-thing they would not go any other day but Friday. The money was not very plenty at that time so they used to give chickens, ducks and geese for the stuff they used to buy. When they wanted clothes they used to buy them from peddlers for food and a night's lodging. In the olden times when the people had no food the shop keepers used to sell stuff on Sundays.
