came to where the three barrels lay. They saw the shape of a snake around the barrels When they came up they ordered the men to get four of the horses they could get and some big chains. They fastened the chains round the barrels. The horses pulled one of the barrels to the top of the water just as they were able to take the barrels to the land the chains broke and the barrels sunk in the water where it stands to day. It is said that at certain times the gold is seen shining very clearly in the water.
