- There is a fort in Cashel. It is called the fort. It is in the parish of Toomore and about three miles from Foxford. There is no other one within sight. There is a mound of earth around it. There is no hole in the middle but there is one in the side. My father went down. There are three steps down and a wall each side and flaged on top and there is five or six rooms in it. It is said the "Tuatha Dé Danann" that made it for fear of war.
