From the sun - If the sun is shining and it going down very red that is the sign of good weather.
From the salt - If the salt is moist the rain is coming. - There was a big wind in Ireland about one hundred years ago. The wind was so strong that it did a lot of harm. It knocked the roofs of house and barns.
