    Oh! you jolly lads and lassies

    McDonnell from Glencalry he had

    Amongst the many ladies who did
    attend the ball.
    There was a pretty fair-maid who did
    our heart's entrall
    She was fairer than Diana bright
    her hair like links of gold,
    She was lovely Lily Kelly, from England I am told.
    There was also her waiting maid
    a lady of renown.
    Miss Garvin from Glenora and
    others from that town.
    Mary Healy too it would cost
    much time and labour to name
    them all for you,
    Long life to our musician
    James Hegarty of the glen,
    His echoing tone and graceful note still makes the mansion rung,
    And to his assistant young Tom
    Irwin
    Who played the tamberine
